50forwardBackground50 Forward is a new project aimed at older adults to recognise, support and unlock the potential of older people and promote independence and choice. Signposts has the navigator role in the 50 Forward Project, which is co-ordinated by Lancaster City Council and supported by Lancashire County Council. AimsSignposts aims to provide a service to enable older people to access services, activities, volunteering, employment, training, leisure opportunities and enable them to meet their own needs and be included in their communities and wider society. 50 Forward Care Navigator Project Information PackLancaster District 50 Forward is an exciting new project for older people.Led by Lancaster City Council, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, the Government, Age Concern and the Older People's Partnership, its one of only eight such pilots in the country. Signposts has been commissioned to provide the new "navigator service" of the project and documents containing all the information can be found below. The navigator project is designed to help people through the maze of services and opportunities available to them. The project will work with people who are aged over 50, to reduce social isolation and to support the development of networks and services.
