Young Roots - Morecambe
The Young Roots Launch held on Wednesday 26 th July 2006 at the Dome was a huge success, with over 200 people through the doors to view the exhibition. The Stained Glass Panels looked amazing and the Young People proudly explained the process they had gone through to establish the designs and produce the final piece.
There was also a variety of performances from Young Bands who had written and recorded new songs about Morecambe. A documentary produced by the Young People was also shown.
The project was funded by the Heritage Lottery and was a partnership between Signposts, More Music in Morecambe, Folly and Lancashire Museums . We are beginning to look at how to take the work forward and possible venues to tour the multi-media exhibition.
