Young Peoples Stakeholder Group

The Young Peoples Stakeholder group represents Young People who take part in our Young Peoples project work. They meet regularly and help shape the way we deliver our young peoples services. The group is based on a model of participation. All young people are encouraged to work together and develop their leadership skills.

Over the past 18 months the Stakeholders Group have been working in Partnership with the National Youth Agency to carry out research in their local area - Are we Bovvard - the outcome of which is outlined below.

Are We Bovvard?

Young researchers have researched positive activities for young people in the West End area of Morecambe, following significant redevelopment of the area. Specifically they have compared the views of local policy makers and local young people, they argue for the increased involvement of young people in planning regeneration of the area.
